We’ve been a little bit quiet here lately, but we’d like to share some recent Jornada LTER news and future events!
- We’re proud to have a promising new group of Jornada LTER graduate fellows starting their research this spring. See the Graduate Student Research Fellowships page for new names and projects. We’ll also be welcoming several REU students and an EDI Data Management fellow to the Jornada this summer. Stay tuned for updates about the great science all these folks are about to do.
- The Jornada Desert Ecology Short Course will be taking place the week of June 27th. We’ll be putting together a schedule over the next few weeks, but you can expect some great presentations from our researchers, tours of our field sites and experiments, and a nice barbecue under the trees where we’ll be celebrating the 40th birthday of the Jornada LTER program.
- Our staff and researchers have been busy creating more video content to share our scientific and outreach work with the world. Below is a new introductory video that the Jornada LTER produced with the NMSU ACES Innovative Media Research & Extension. Take a look, and keep an eye out for more research-focused videos on our website and YouTube channel soon.
