Lixin Jin

Lixin Jin

Primary Research Interests:

Dryland critical zone, pedogenic carbonate, soil-atmosphere C exchange, soil salinity, irrigated agriculture

Educational Background:

University of Science and Technology of China, Hefei, China                       Geochemistry, BS, 1996-2001

University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI                                                                     Geochemistry, PhD, 2001-2007

Synergistic activities:

Jin has more than 10 years of experiences working on soil- and water-related environmental problems. Currently Jin collaborates and coordinates over a large multi-disciplinary research group in the Dryland Critical Zone thematic cluster. This NSF-funded project is to investigate the ecohydrology, CO2 fluxes, and nutrient availability in drylands, affected by both natural and anthropogenic influences.
